After an intentional late start, todays activities were to take the 1800 Train from Keystone to Hill City. It’s an old steam train that burns used motor oil for fuel, so it definately smokes a bit when climbing the hills. The horn was unbelievably loud. Overall it was a good experience to do, but we ended up with too much time in Hill City. Even after having lunch at a local restaurant, looking at a bunch of gifts stores, and checking out the train museum we had about an hour to kill waiting for the train ride back. Once we arrived back in town, me and Dean went to one of the tourist attractions to ride the tubes down the mountain on an inflatable track. It was a lot of fun and pretty fast. The part best was we didn’t have to walk up to the top as they had a magic carpet to carry us up!
