Our last golf game for the Kootenay trip was at the Golden Golf course.  This is a full 18-hole course with a number of long holes plus a few tricky par-3. Plays most favorably for the left handed player.  Although the grass was in great shape all around, the fairways were incredibly bumpy to drive the power carts on.  If they could only smooth this out, I would give this course a full 5-stars, but because of that it’s just squeaking by with a 4-star in my opinion.
We stayed in their RV campground, which only has power and sketchy internet at best.  It served the purpose for a place to stay close by, but beware the road in from Golden itself is bumpy as well and includes a really narrow bridge to cross.  My suggestion to the golf course is to allow power carts from the pro-shop to be driven back to the campsites right through to the end of the day.  We finished our round late, and the path was blocked off, so we had to walk quite a ways carrying the clubs which was inconvenient.
