It was time to take a break and stretch the legs out, so we pulled in to the tourist booth in Butte, Montana. After a visit inside to check out the fly fishing and mining history displays, we asked for permission to drop the trailer and drive into the downtown area to check out the city.

We found the mining museum and decided to check it out. It was neat to see all the history involved and would have been awesome to take the underground tour, but the next available tour wasn’t for another 3 hours. We couldn’t wait that long so we just did the self guided tour.

From there, we reconnected the trailer and carried on to our next destination, West Yellowstone.

The weather is great today, not a cloud in the sky and mid 20s.
