Today we toured through the southern loop, starting from the West Yellowstone entrance. After a number of stops at the various points of interest (geysers, etc.), we made our way to Old Faithful. It certainly is a well established destination with an assortment of gift shops, restaurants, and of course the big geyser. Although we just missed it erupting, we decided to grab a quick bite to eat and a cold drink to kill some time. Seventy-five minutes later we made our way over to the seating area to wait for the next show. It was definately a hot day, and we were sitting in the full sun, but all in all it was worth it to finally see what thousands of others were there to see as well. Afterwards, we continued on our journey making our way over to the West Thumb, Yellowstone lake, Canyon Village and back again to the West entrance. It was a long day, but great to see everything. Tomorrows plan is to head up to Mammoth Hot Springs and the other half of the park to look for wildlife.
