We arrived into the Ponderosa Campground around noon. Very nice campground right in town and nearby all the amenities such as Walmart. The 4 of us started our day with a visit to the Museum. Very large place with an unbelievable display of guns among many other things. It is affiliated with the Smithsonian so it was certainly a good place to go.
For dinner we went to the Cody Cattle Company which included a music performance. The band sang a bunch of songs, mostly in the country genre of course but it was still really good. For the rest of our short visit here in Cody, we toured around and checked out the rest of the town.
Before leaving for the next leg of our vacation, we stopped by for a visit and the Old Town ghost town. It was pretty neat to see all the old buildings that they transported into the site instead of letting the previous owners demolish them due to some tax law that the US government imposed.
