This morning Rob did 18 holes, and got paired up with a couple locals. \u00a0He said they were pretty fun to golf with. \u00a0Dad and Esther continued on with their trip to Rock Creek.<\/p>\r\n

When Rob got back we headed over to Trail to find a Walmart. \u00a0It\u2019s a very unique town, with narrow roads winding up the sides of the hills where the houses were built. \u00a0It\u2019s quite old and historic.<\/p>\r\n

We then drove up to Rossland, which is also very historic. \u00a0It\u2019s actually kind of a neat town. \u00a0I spotted a mother bear and her cubs in someone\u2019s yard, then we drove down the hill from there and stopped a cute little city park and snapped a couple photos. \u00a0We then drove up to the Rossland mine, which we luckily got to tour years ago, because unfortunately it\u2019s since been shut down.<\/p>\r\n

It poured rain for a few minutes enroute back to Castlegar, but then cleared up enough that we were able to check out the Brilliant Suspension Bridge. \u00a0It was built by the Doukhobors in 1913, and has since been restored, and opened to foot traffic in 2010. \u00a0After that, we drove to Veregin Memorial Park where the Doukhobor leader and his family are buried, but the gates were locked, so unfortunately we couldn\u2019t go in. \u00a0It\u2019s too bad because it looked like an interesting little park.<\/p>\r\n

We spent the rest of the evening in the trailer with dogs, which was fine because it ended up raining some more anyways.<\/p>\r\n

Oh, and we saw the brown bear this morning! \u00a0He was chillin\u2019 at the edge of the golf green, digging for something in the ground. \u00a0Unfortunately I didn\u2019t get a photo, so hopefully we\u2019ll see him again tomorrow before we leave. \u00a0And hopefully Kniko doesn\u2019t see him because he\u2019ll completely lose his mind!<\/p>\r\n
